The current version of EXIF Canvas requires no account and includes no ads, analytics SDKs, or photo uploads. Apple handles purchases. JPEGs saved to Photos may retain GPS data from the original, so check before sharing them.
01 / Scope
This policy covers the EXIF Canvas app and its static official website, provided by the EXIF Canvas developer ("we" or "us"). For privacy inquiries, email zpf772593693@gmail.com.
This policy describes how information is processed by the current features. Photos are read, edited, and rendered on your device; this local processing does not upload photos to the developer. This policy does not replace the separate privacy policies of Apple, email providers, or sharing platforms you choose to use.

The current app does not create developer accounts, access contacts, the microphone, or your live device location, use advertising identifiers for tracking, or include third-party advertising or behavioral analytics SDKs. Reading GPS data already embedded in a photo does not require live location permission.
Website visits
This is a static website. It uses no analytics scripts, advertising trackers, cookies, browser local storage, or third-party embeds. Page assets are served from the same site. The hosting service may process necessary technical information, such as IP addresses, access times, request paths, browser types, and error logs, to deliver pages, maintain the service, and protect its security. Log retention and processing depend on the hosting service and its configuration.
03 / System permissions
- Selecting photos: Apple's system photo picker provides only the items you choose, with support for selecting one or multiple photos. The current app does not independently scan your entire photo library.
- Adding photos to your library: When you save or batch export, the app requests permission to add photos to the system library. If you decline, it cannot save your work to Photos, but you can still preview and edit.
- Managing permissions: You can manage the relevant system permissions in Settings under EXIF Canvas or Privacy & Security → Photos. Names may vary by operating system version.
If a selected photo is stored only in iCloud, the system photo service may download the original according to your Apple settings. This is handled by the system and does not upload the photo to the developer.
04 / Exports & location metadata
When the current version saves a JPEG to Photos, it preserves key EXIF data, existing GPS data, and some camera and capture-time information from the original. An exported file may therefore contain its capture location even when the visible watermark shows no location.
When you use system sharing, the receiving app, platform, or contact receives the content you choose to share. The file information shared, upload behavior, and retention depend on the system sharing action and the recipient. Also check any credits, dates, and locations you add to the visible watermark.
05 / Third-party services & disclosure
Apple systems & the App Store
The app uses Apple's photo picker, photo-library saving, system sharing, rating, and StoreKit purchase services. Purchases and purchase restoration may require a connection to Apple. Apple processes payment information and provides transaction information through StoreKit to verify entitlements, such as product identifiers, transaction identifiers, expiration dates, and revocation status. We do not receive your full payment card number through the app.

Email support
When you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any files you attach. The contact mailbox is provided by Gmail, so Google also processes this content through its email service. For details, see the Google Privacy Policy. Please provide only what is needed to resolve your issue, and avoid sending passwords, full payment details, or unrelated sensitive photos.
Sharing platforms & external links
Sharing platforms you choose and external websites linked here process information under their own policies. We do not sell personal information or use support emails for advertising. We do not proactively disclose your support information to other third parties except for service processing needed to provide the support you request or where disclosure is legally required.
06 / Storage, retention & security
- Photos & editing sessions: Selected originals are used in a temporary folder on your device for the current operation, and editing parameters are mainly kept in memory. The app attempts to remove related temporary files when selected items are released. Imported temporary files left by an interrupted process are cleaned up when the import folder is next initialized. The current version offers no cloud drafts or photo synchronization.
- Interface language: Your language preference is saved in the app's local settings for future launches. You can change it at any time. Deleting the app can remove its local data; system backup and restoration behavior depend on your device settings.
- Exported photos: You manage photos saved to the system library. Deleting the app does not automatically delete these photos. To remove them, use the Photos app and its Recently Deleted area as applicable.
- Purchase records: Apple retains and manages these under its policies. Deleting the app does not delete Apple purchase records or cancel a subscription.
- Support emails: We keep emails only as long as needed to handle your request, follow-up issues, and applicable legal obligations. You can ask us to delete support information that is no longer needed. If retention is legally required, we will explain why.
Photo processing relies on the system's app isolation and permission controls. We use security measures appropriate to the information we process, but no device or communication service can guarantee absolute security. Please manage your device, backups, and sharing recipients carefully.
We do not operate a developer server that stores user photos. Apple, Google, and the website's hosting service may process information in different countries or regions. See their service information for details.
07 / Your choices & rights
You decide whether to select photos, enter watermark content, allow saving, make purchases, share your work, or contact the developer. You can stop using features, change system permissions or language preferences, and delete exported photos from your library.
To the extent provided by applicable law, you may request access to, a copy of, correction of, or deletion of information we actually hold, such as support emails, or submit a withdrawal of consent or another privacy request. Email zpf772593693@gmail.com and describe your request. We may need to verify your identity in a necessary and proportionate manner, and will respond within the period required by applicable law.
Because your photos and metadata remain on your device, the developer cannot remotely access, modify, or delete them. The app requires no developer account, so there is no app account to close. Use Apple's channels to manage your Apple account and purchase records.
08 / Children & minors
Minors should use the app with guidance from a parent or guardian and obtain their consent for purchases. We do not actively collect children's information through developer accounts or photo uploads. A minor sending a support email that contains personal information should do so with a guardian's consent and guidance. We handle children's personal information requiring special protection under applicable law accordingly.
If a guardian discovers that a minor provided us with personal information without consent, please email us. We will verify and handle the information under applicable law.
09 / Policy updates
We may update this policy as features or applicable requirements change, and will update the date at the top of the page. Before introducing accounts, analytics, photo uploads, or other features that materially change information processing, we will explain the changes and obtain your consent where required by applicable law.
